This little guy is seriously so tiny. He weighs 4lbs. 6oz. and healthy as can be! I had so much fun doing this session because his mommy is one of my best friends from high school. I'm so happy for her new arrival!

I ventured out with the new equipment and tried to get my kids to cooperate, they had a snowball fight in mind instead. That being said, "little B" turns 2 next week and I really wanted some new pictures of him, after all was said and done...it was worth the fight:)

FINALLY...some new equipment!

It's a new year and there is going to be lots of change. Shane (my husband) graduates in April and we will be relocating to Scottsdale AZ for his new job. But before I leave I want to get the most out of the time I have left here in UT.

That being said, I have gotten a new camera and some other equipment to start the year off right. This makes me so happy:). And when I'm happy, I want to make others happy which is why I am going to be giving away TWO free springtime photo shoots! (Photoshoot must be in Utah, Salt Lake, Davis or Weber county)

So believe it or not I did take these pictures although I am in them. It was quite an experiment that included: a tripod, lots of test shots and a whole bunch of running back and forth (I really need a remote). My parents have recently moved back from South Carolina and wanted to get a quick family picture in before Christmas. It was pretty comical but I think we got a decent shot.

NicholeV Workshop, One Word...AMAZING!!!

I was so fortunate to be able to attend Nichole Van's Professional Photography Workshop last week! She is so talented and such a great teacher. Not only that she is a joy to be around and such a genuine person. It was wonderful to be around so many other photographers from all over the U.S., the energy was contagious and I made a lot of good friends!

I can not even begin to tell you how much I learned, I am still trying to wrap my head around it all. Let me tell you one thing, there will be LOTS of good things coming in the future! I have a whole new perspective on photography. This is a turning point for me in my photography and I can't wait to apply all that I've learned and dive in head first! Here are a few sample images I took while practicing at the workshop. We learned a ton and I can't wait for all of you to benefit from what I was able to learn!

P.S. Wasn't our model beautiful, she was such a sweetheart!

I had such a fun time with this family! Their little girl fell and scraped up her knee pretty bad right at the first and was such a trooper the entire time! They were so easy to work with and I LOVE her glasses! She is just darling! I will also be shooting them again this fall so stay tuned for more of this family later this year...

These two were a BLAST to shoot! I just LOVE them both:o) They are in LoVe and I am so happy for them. "CoCo" lived by us in Idaho and we became really good friends (believe it or not, she was one of my young women!) I am getting old. Now she has gone and caught herself a man and they are getting married! Yeah! It was so fun to see them when they were down visiting in Logan. I really enjoyed shooting in Logan, there was lots of fun places to take pictures, I could have stayed there all day! I have a ton to edit but I had to give them a sneak peak...

A Little Miracle

This family has been through so much lately and it was my pleasure to capture their cute little family in pictures! Their poor little baby was born early and has had MANY complications. He spent the first 2 months of his life in the hospital and is just now getting home and settled in. He was so good during the shoot and has the cutest big brother. I enjoyed getting to know them and look forward to shooting them again as this little guy grows up!

Good Old Days...

We were lucky enough to be visited by some of our "bestest friends" recently! "J" and I danced on the Crimson Line at the U of U together and were best friends, Shane & "C" were mission companions and also best friends. Somehow we all ended up married, how fun is that! They traveled all the way from Las Vegas to see us and we are so glad. (next time we're coming there!) While they were visiting we took some family pictures and here's how some of my favorites turned out!

So I am finally starting to feel like things are settling down. We have officially moved down to Utah, things were a bit crazy for a while. Now it is back to work and I have the funnest family to share with you all.

This shoot was a blast, by far the most people I've ever shot at one time. The entire family consisted of 14 adults and 13 children! Whew, did I get a workout! This is the last session I did before the move, I just love this family and will miss them dearly! There were a TON of pictures from this session and no way to pick my favorites so I randomly picked some to share, hope you enjoy!

So I haven't' been doing a lot of editing lately with the move. Pretty much my life consists of packing, packing & more packing. But I stayed up late tonight to get some of these done cause I have been wanting to post them.

I had the funnest time shooting my boys. Usually it is really hard to shoot my own kids but Bently was so cute with Beckham this time! I LOVE seeing them together in these pictures. I know I am a little partial but I think they are pretty cute!

OK, so I know that I took a little too much time off but how could I peel myself away from this face?...

That being said I am ready to get back into the swing of things! I have a couple of sessions booked for this month and could probably squeeze in a couple more. I am also excited to be offering sessions for all of my Utah friends (and friends of friends) starting the middle of April so schedule now to make sure you get one!

This family has three of the CUTEST girls I've ever seen! I was so excited when they wanted me to take their pictures. We had a great time and (as you can see) I had a hard time picking just a few to share, so here are a whole bunch!

(PS. I've been trying a few different ways of displaying photos on this blog to get better quality, this time I used photobucket, let me know if you can tell a difference between this post and the last, does it help at all? Does anyone have any other suggestions on maintaining the quality of the picture, they never look as good on here?)

Shane's brother and his family came up to stay with us over Thanksgiving and we went out to get some new family pictures.
